At Electro-Kote, the powder coating process for metal parts begins with thorough surface preparation. All parts are sandblasted, cleaned, and steam phosphated to remove contaminants and ensure superior paint adhesion. This pre-treatment is critical for achieving a high-quality, durable powder coat finish.
After pre-treatment, powder coating is electrostatically sprayed in our specialized powder booth. The charged powder particles reach even hard-to-coat areas for complete, uniform coverage.
Once coated, parts are baked in one of our two industrial ovens, either 25’ x 8’ x 8’ or 16’ x 10’ x 10’, at precise temperatures and times tailored to each finish. This curing stage bonds the powder for a smooth, tough, and long-lasting protective layer.
